Best bang for the buck

For $1300 this stove can't be beat and deserves 5-stars. I would easily have paid more for it. The installers I used were very impressed with the stove, and had it vented and up and running in a couple of hours. The pellet hopper has a latch or slide that was closed shut and wouldn't allow pellets into the hopper. We had to call the manufacturer to find out how to release (open) it, which required opening up the side panel of the stove and adjusting the vacuum pump. Apparently this was done to make shipping safer, which is fine, but I wish there would have been a note, sticker, or something in the directions to forewarn the installers. Fortunately the installers figured it out, with a little help from the guy at the manufacturer. The pellet chute could be a tiny bit larger, as a few pellets get stuck on occasion at the narrow part of the opening, but so far this hasn't been a real problem. The ash bin and burning pot don't slide in and out with ease, but this isn't a big deal once you get a handle on how to do it. I do wish the burn pot was easier to slide back in place, for my wife’s sake, but as long as I'm cleaning the stove no biggie. Also, for my own selfish reasons, I wish the blower vent had louvers so I could adjust the direction of the air, but this is something that might not be needed for everybody, though it would be awesome for my corner application. Overall, this stove heats well! I have to keep it on a low setting to keep the room from getting too hot, and even on low, my living room stays at about 71 degrees. The stove is very efficient, only use about a half bag of pellets a day, and the ash is minimal. Like I said 5-stars for the price; I still would have bought this stove if it was $1800, and I would consider the stove at $2000 or slightly over, but I would have deducted a star for the aforementioned items.
